Warm hospitality, spectacular views across much of Eastern Norway, and time to relax and take it easy ... That is what best describes NorefjellHytta, Norway’s first “Alpine cabin” – a culinary meeting place for guests throughout the year. We were named Buskerud’s best hotel and restaurant in 2018!
NorefjellHytta is situated at an altitude of 720 m above sea level on a steep slope overlooking the Alpine skiing centre, offering fantastic views across Lake Krøderen, Noresund and the valley below Norefjell. In fact, you can actually see the locations of many of the producers who supply our ingredients.
NorefjellHytta opened its doors for the first time in 2010, as Norway’s first “Alpine cabin”. Ever since, our concept has been to serve food that is locally produced – ideally, very locally produced – and home-made.
In 2018, NorefjellHytta was named Buskerud’s best hotel and restaurant.
At NorefjellHytta, we put together a new menu every day. The dishes we create are unique to the area, made with love and with a commitment to give each guest something special. The many positive reviews we have received on TripAdvisor demonstrate that our guests agree.
Our Head Chef Silver creates a new menu every day reflecting the local area and featuring herbs and vegetables from our own kitchen garden and meat from the surrounding forests, valleys and mountains.
We create a new five-course menu every day. The chef will guide you through the meal, and you can choose the number of courses you want. Price example: three courses, NOK 555. Naturally, we will also be happy to recommend wines to accompany your meal.
