Krøderen Kro & Motell

The Krøderen Kro country inn boasts an idyllic location on the banks of Lake Krøderen, near Norefjell. Our cafeteria seats 130 guests and we can set tables for small groups.

Krøderen Kro & Motell

This is a great place to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. In 2014, we built a new veranda with glass railings and a retractable roof.

At Krøderen Kro you can enjoy traditional Norwegian food such as fried pork belly with cream sauce, and brisket with sweet-and-sour sauce. We have a tempting dessert table, featuring delights such as crème caramel and tilslørte bondepiker (Veiled Peasant Girls). All the food is made on site.

We also have an event space with a capacity of 80, a lounge with a fireplace, a fully licensed bar, and a veranda seating 25 with views across the water.

Krøderen Kro is owned and managed by Johnny Omdahl. He bought the country inn in 1988 and has developed it into a firm favourite for many people, who enjoy the wholesome homemade food. Best-sellers include the meatballs, venison casserole and fried trout.
