About us

Visit Norefjell is the joint tourism body for the Norefjell region, defined as the four municipalities, Modum, Sigdal, Krødsherad and Flå. We were labelled Sustainable Destination in 2021.

We do branding, marketing and sales for the whole region as a combined destination, setting municipal boundaries to one side. The organization has around 100 members, and act as a link between the municipalities, other public bodies and the members.

The main objective of Visit Norefjell is to encourage year-round growth in visitor numbers to the region and to our members. We achieve this by coordinating activities, trade shows, events and other joint activities that provide increased visibility, such as marketing campaigns. Visit Norefjell is also involved in coordinating non-commercial activities such as cross-country skiing, hiking and mountain biking.

Visit Norefjell’s job is to help make the region even more attractive for guests and for leisure residents, as well as for the local population, entrepreneurs, and employers. It is a matter of creating a region that people wants to visit and where they like to live and work.
